After many years of dedicated service at Oxclose Community Academy, we are saying a fond farewell to Diane as she begins her well-earned retirement.

As Head of Modern Foreign Languages, Diane has made a lasting contribution to Oxclose, inspiring generations of pupils and leading countless memorable educational visits to France and Germany. Her dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to both pupils and colleagues have been greatly appreciated and she will be greatly missed by the entire Oxclose community.

As she embarks on this exciting new chapter, Diane has shared the following message:

Thank you!

I am genuinely blown away by all the cards, gifts, and kind messages. You are, and always will be, a very special group of people.

I have been overwhelmed by the kindness, care, and love you have shown me. Who knew I was so loved?

To everyone who trusted me enough to accompany more than 40 pupils at a time to France and Germany, thank you. Those trips created memories I will never forget. From the singing and dancing on coach journeys,

those moments will stay with me forever!

It's the laughter, the shared experiences, and the stories that somehow get funnier every time they're retold that I will treasure most.

Oxclose has given me so much more than a career. It has given me friendships, support, kindness, and countless happy memories that I will carry with me into retirement.

Now it's time to hang up my teacher's hat and leave it to the younger, more energetic, and definitely more enthusiastic generation!

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. Whether you've been a colleague, a student, a parent, or a friend, you have helped shape memories that I will cherish forever.

It has been an honour, a privilege, and an absolute joy.

So, for one last time...

Auf wiedersehen
