Students from Year 8.9 at Oxclose Community Academy have shown true community spirit and entrepreneurial flair by creating and selling a joke book to raise funds for the restoration of the school’s outdoor sensory garden. Their goal is to provide a peaceful, engaging outdoor space for all students to enjoy.

The project was a real team effort, with Ava from 8.8 lending her artistic talent to illustrate the book, bringing the students’ jokes to life. Sales have gone brilliantly, helping the pupils get closer to transforming the garden area.

They were just pipped to the top spot but achieved the runners-up position and were thrilled to receive the ‘Best Product’ award, a fantastic recognition of their creativity and teamwork.
