The newly elected student council members were warmly welcomed by Miss Flowers in their first official meeting of the year. The session began with an introduction to the school council’s systems and procedures, helping the new recruits understand how the council operates and how they can play an active role in representing their peers.

During the meeting, students began sharing their first round of suggestions—ideas aimed at improving school life for everyone. These discussions marked a positive and enthusiastic start to the council’s work, highlighting the students’ commitment to making a difference.

The student council will meet regularly throughout the year to gather and discuss suggestions from all pupils. Their goal is to ensure the school remains a happy, supportive, and enjoyable environment for all students. High-priority suggestions will be passed on directly to Mrs Parkes, the Headteacher, for consideration and potential action.

With this strong start, the student council is set to be a powerful voice for the student body, helping to shape a school community where everyone feels heard and valued.

“I’m really excited to be part of the student council” said Ethan Year 7. “It feels good to know we can share our ideas and help make the school better for everyone.”
